The Golgi apparatus is found in both plant and animal cells. Its main function is to distribute and ship the cell's chemical products. It modifies the lipids and proteins to prepare them for transportation outside of the cell. The Golgi Apparatus is made up of around six membrane bound sacs called cisternae.
